Abstract

This paper presents wideband MIMO cable measurements of a 10-pair 0.4mm UTP cable, which are then used to parameterise and verify the Joffe MIMO channel model for UTP transmission lines. The frequency dependance of the model parameters is pointed out, and prediction results based on various parameter sets are compared. The aim of the paper is to illustrate problems in the modelling accuracy which still exist at high frequencies.
