Wavelet power spectrum smoothing for random vibration control

Abstract

This letter compares the wavelet power spectrum smoothing method with the Welch method in the random vibration control algorithm of an electrodynamic shaker. Practical results show that the wavelet smoothing method improves the control algorithm performance significantly.
