Abstract

This work demonstrated shows the use of the Cozmo robot as a tool to engage and teach about traffic rules to younger children in a fun and interactive manner in Pakistan. This was the first effort of its kind to encourage traffic rules learning in children through using the social robot in the schools of Pakistan. Our ongoing work is towards understanding the social impact of this effort, mainly, finding whether children post-learning question parents about the traffic violation. We achieve this by creating a curriculum for social robots to teach about traffic rules at schools in Pakistan.
