Ultrafast laser microwelding of optical materials

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Construction of precision optical systems (e.g. lasers) involves bonding optical materials (glasses and crystals - mirrors, beamsplitters, laser crystals) to structural materials (typically metals). An ultrafast laser welding process for such applications is described.
