Two-photon absorption and short pulse stimulated recombination in AgGaSe2

Abstract

Two-photon excitation from a mode-locked Nd-glass laser operating at 1.06 µm was used to produce stimulated output in the form of sub-nanosecond pulses at 6988 Å (1.774 eV) in the chalcopyrite structured semiconductor AgGaSe2. A preliminary measurement of the two-photon absorption coefficient gave 0.0014 cm/MW. © 1980.
