Abstract

Ferroelectric Barium-Strontium-Titanate (BST) film varactor chips are fabricated and applied to the design of electronically tunable bandstop filters (BSFs) based on stepped impedance line resonator (SIR). Three different types of filters are designed and three different BST varactor chips are used to investigate the properties of BST varactors at microwave frequencies. The designed tunable BSFs show more than 30 dB of band rejection at the center frequency of 1.1 GHz with 10 % of frequency tuning ranges. © 2007 EuMA.
