Abstract

The decomposition of 1,3-di-o-cyanophenyltriazene in mineral acids is described. The products include substituted o-cyanoazobenzenes, and derivatives of 1,2,3-benzotriazine and their decomposition products. The isomer mixture formed by homolytic fission of the triazene in boiling nitrobenzene has been analysed.
