Abstract
The syntheses of 4-[1-adamantyl(hydroxy)methyl]-, 4-[1-methylcyclohexyl(hydroxy)methyl]-, and 4-(2-hydroxycyclohexyl)-1,2,3-benzotriazines are described as structural variants of the usual 4-substituted-immuno-1,2,3-benzotriazines that have been shown to possess anti-arrhythmic activity as their N-2 alkyl halides or sulphonates. These compounds showed a wide variation in aqueous solubility but were devoid of any anti-arrhythmic activity both as parent compounds and as their methyl carbamate derivatives.
