    Abstract

A jacket type platform has been investigated for the reliability against sesimic activities. time history analysis were conducted by using 100 records with a variety of frequency content to adress the members with critical behaviour. By using the reliabilty analysis on the members it has found that for a jacket platform, there are no uniform distribution for the importance of members. So a combined factor in which various features of earthquake. including frequency content, energy, and spectral characteristics are taken ino account can be suggested.
