Abstract
The soliton dynamics in a nonlinear molecular chain with thermalized longitudinal and orientational vibrations is studied. The dependence of the soliton transmission on the length of the thermalized segment has been obtained. The case of an external electric field is considered. Compared to the case of the transversal vibrations, studied previously, the soliton has been shown to be stable towards orientational thermal vibrations. © 1995.
