Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution

Abstract

The Malaysian government has charted a zero-waste plan that aims to abolish single-use of plastic by 2030. However, the pandemic in the year 2020 has given rise to growth of online shopping in the world as well as Malaysia. This growth resulted to more packaging waste shifting to homes. Currently, there are no obvious government policy nor research that deal with packaging waste created from online shopping in Malaysia. Therefore, focusing on shopping packaging waste in Malaysia is an urgent task that needs immediate attention. This research study aims to study the awareness, knowledge, attitude, and practices of packaging waste management of Malaysian online shoppers. A conceptual model has been developed in this study based on the past literatures. This study then proposed the research methodology to conduct the research.
