Abstract
Ozonolysis of vinyl ether 1 in the presence of unsaturated hydroperoxides 3 gave the corresponding unsaturated hydroperoxy peracetals 4, which in turn reacted with ozone in acetic acid to give the novel hydroperoxy-substituted cyclic peroxides containing two peroxide groups in the ring. The structure of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-2,3,5,6-tetroxocanyl hydroperoxide 12 was unambiguously determined by the X-ray analysis.
