Abstract

The synthesis of two novel hexahydro-5H-indazolo[2,3-d][1,4]benzodiazepin- 6(7H)-ones is described. These fused heterocyclic benzodiazepines ensued from a general study into the synthesis of tetracyclic structures containing the indazole ring selectively bonded at the N-2 position.
