Abstract

The first examples of molecules in which carbaborane clusters are linked via a simple C=C double bond, and which constitute model compounds for boronated polydiacetylenes, are reported; double metallation of one of these molecules affords a unique closo-pseudocloso bis(carbametallaborane).
