Abstract

Ferrocenyl imines, Fe{?⁵-C₅H₄CH=NC₆H ₄OC_nH_2n+1-4)}(?⁵-C ₅H₅) and Fe{?⁵-C₅H₃-1-(CO ₂Et)-3-(CH=NC₆H₄OC_nH _2n+1-4)}(?⁵-C₅H₅) (n = 5-9) produced from formylferrocene and 1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-(formyl)ferrocene, respectively, and some diaryl esters of ferrocenedicarboxlic acids have been synthesised and characterised by analysis and spectroscopy.
