Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the sub-factors of supplier performance and buyer–supplier relationships, examining their consequential impact on SC risk mitigation. Further, we adopt a two-step methodology. Initially, a systematic literature review was conducted, which yielded 32 risk indicators. To investigate the cause-effect dynamics linking supplier performance, buyer–supplier relationships, and their impact on risk mitigation, we combined PLS-SEM and Grey-DEMATEL approaches. The application of both the grey-DEMATEL approach and PLS-SEM was primarily to assess relationships among supplier performance risk, buyer-supplier risk, and their effects on risk mitigation. The findings revealed that Supplier performance risk directly impacts the performance of an entire supply chain and paramount for an effective SCRM to scale back the associated dangers with supplier performance and build more output potentials for the supply chain. Further, the results also revealed that damage and defect free supplier performance enhance the effectiveness of organisations strategic planning and reduce the overall strategic risk. The findings have some key significance for professionals and decision makers in the electronic supply chain domain. Managers in electronics industry require building and sustaining relationship with their supplier community through regular interactions, feedback and collaborative problem-solving for enhancing the trustworthiness of supply chains.
