An important planar resonator in microwave engineering is the wye geometry. This paper summarises the cut-off numbers of the dominant and first higher order mode of this sort of resonator, for both a dielectric and gyromagnetic filler. It also reproduces the standing wave solution, both for this geometry and separately for a 3-port circulator using such a resonator.
