Abstract
Based on the presentation of European Museum’s collections, contemporary prototypes from fashion brands and designers creations, organised in partnership with the City of Calais, the EEC, The Pasold Funds and Novachild, this original exhibition explores the influence of sport clothes (technology, design, graphics) in the evolution of children’s fashion towards active wear, mixed and casual wardrobes. For the first time, the impact of sport practice and uniforms on the design and evolution of children’s fashion, including the merge of active wear and mixed fashion, is studied and demonstrated in an exhibition. Bilingual catalogue, with the contributions of researchers in education studies, designers and historians.
