Abstract
Estimates for the growth and decay of the cross-section total energy flux in the form of exponential lower and upper bounds are obtained for non-steady Stokes flow in a semi-infinite three-dimensional pipe of uniform star-shaped cross-section. The method depends upon the derivation and integration of a first-order differential inequality. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
