Abstract

In Part 2 of this paper severance energies have been collated and/or determined from various published works for both continuous wave and pulse-mode cutting of decorative glass and ceramic tile. Comparison of the subsequent results show that, as found in Part 1, a general value of severance energy can be stated for the CO2 laser cutting of these materials. © 2001 OPA (Overseas Publishers Association) N.V.
