Abstract

We propose a novel physical layer secure optical communication scheme utilizing symbol overlapped random optical phase encryption to secretly transmit two private messages with orthogonal DQPSK/CSK modulation. A 3-bit/symbol 30Gb/s secure optical system is demonstrated.
