Scaling soliton dynamics in hollow fibers

Abstract

Soliton dynamics in the visible and near-infrared can be scaled to millijoule energy levels and terrawatt peak powers in simple hollow capillary fibers. We describe subfemtosecond pulse self-compression and very high-brightness vacuum ultraviolet generation.
