Abstract

Soliton dynamics can be scaled from the 1 W level in conventional fibres, to terrawatt peak powers in simple hollow capillaries. We model sub-femtosecond pulse self-compression, and experimentally demonstrate high-brightness multiple- μJ-scale ultraviolet (115-330 nm) pulse generation.
