Abstract

The nonlinear waves guided by the interface between a linear and a non-Kerr-like, nonlinear medium were investigated numerically using the formalism recently developed by Langbein et al. [Optics Comm. 53 (1985) 417]. The power dependence of the propagation constant and field distributions were calculated for both power-law and saturable field-dependent dielectric constants. © 1986.
