Abstract
In this paper a practical approach is described for designing an interdigital filter with stepped impedance resonators (SIR) over a large fractional bandwidth (FBW). Interdigital filter is already a very compact design using quarter-wavelength resonators. The use of SIR reduces the overall footprint of a conventional interdigital filter.
