Abstract
This chapter focuses on the presentation and analysis of data collected in the Brazilian cities investigated during the third year (2018–2019) of the project Place-Making with Older Adults: Towards Age-Friendly Communities. This research project was funded by the Newton Fund and the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), with a total grant of £808,289.
It is an international collaborative research initiative led by Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom and the Federal University of Pelotas in Brazil. The project selected three cities in Brazil (Pelotas, Belo Horizonte, and Brasília) and three cities in the UK (Edinburgh, Manchester, and Glasgow) as case studies.
