Abstract

We develop a novel apodized, 16-level-phase-shifted SSFBG optical encoder/decoder, which can improve the system performance of OCDMA system. Error free (BER<10(-12)) transmissions of 8-user, 10Gbps, DPSK-OCDMA over 50km are successfully demonstrated.
