Abstract

In the last decade, sustainability has become a critical issue for businesses worldwide. Companies have been forced to change their practices and develop substantial innovative solutions to reduce their environmental impact. Substantial sustainability innovation will pave the way for breakthroughs that are needed to create new capabilities, products, processes, services, and technology. In that case it can be a true game-changer. It is also therefore that such initiatives and programs need to be economically sound, and they need to be governed. Especially as they have the potential to revolutionize the industry and transform the way people lived their lives. Among the innovative concepts is the use of blockchain technology in governance. By incorporating sustainable practices into good economic and governed sustainable practices, we can work toward a world where both people and the planet can thrive. Part IV of this Handbook covers these and many more of the topics to help you with the needed knowledge, hands-on practical content, usable examples, sharing best and leading practices in the field, and suggested ways of how to get started.
