Abstract

Induction machine, the most widely used machine in fixed speed applications, is more complex to control and requires more expensive, higher rated converters. This paper presents three algorithms for parameter identification of the rotor resistance of vector controlled induction machines: improved Westphal method, extended Kalman filter, and reduced order Kalman filter.
