Abstract
A simple washing model has been proposed to identify optimum cycle time for a double stage pulp washer. The change in conductivity of water in washing has been expressed in the form of a first-order rate equation. The test results under actual operating conditions in a plant indicates 20% reduction in fresh water consumption.
