Abstract

Nonlinear optical materials are of potential significance in molecular electronics. Nonlinear optical characteristics of the polydiacetylene group of organic, polymeric materials was investigated. The objective was to assess the prospect of the material in technological utilization. To obtain an experimental range of three spectral regions, a sub-picosecond layer system was used. Two-and three-beam experiments were applied to examine the magnitude and dynamics of nonlinear behavior of the materials.
