Numerical simulation of buried pipe under wheel loads

    Abstract

    The behaviour of steel pipe during wheel load was studied by FLAC 3D. A steel pipe buried at a shallow depth beneath the road. An analysis is needed to evaluate the effect of wheel loading on road surface deflection and pipe deformation.The wheel load increase during failure occurs. The paper considered Mohr-Coulomb model and defines the failure load versus to pipe displacement.
