Moment method formulation for slot-coupled waveguide Tee-junction

Abstract

A moment method analysis of an E-plane waveguide Tee-junction, in which the coupling element is an arbitrarily inclined slot, has been developed. Two cases are considered: namely, one in which the broad dimension of the coupled waveguide is transverse to the axis of the primary guide, and second, one in which the broad dimension of the coupled guide is axially directed. The computed results are shown to be in good agreement with network analyzer measurements on some typical cases.
