Abstract

We present our latest results on leaky-wave antennas (LWAs) in substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology. It is demonstrated how the suitable tapering of the SIW dimensions allow to modulate the aperture fields induced by a leaky mode, and therefore to tailor the radiated field. Several illustrative beam-shaping examples operating at 15GHz are described, showing the flexibility of the used dispersion-driven synthesis technique, and the versatility of the proposed SIW technology.
