Abstract

A modeling of a biomass fluidized bed gasifier based on modified thermodynamic equilibrium model is presented. The proposed model is validated with experimental results. Based on the model with correction factor, it can be optimized based on different objective functions to determine the optimum performance of the gasifier. The model will be further extended to determine optimum operating conditions by considering ER, bed height, particle size, etc. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the CHISA 2012 - 20th International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering and PRES 2012 - 15th Conference PRES (Prague, Czech Republic 8/25-29/2012).
