Abstract
Fully line-tunable coaxial double-wavelength operation of a CW CO 2 laser has been achieved through a scheme which utilises the polarisation discriminatory properties of a Brewster-angle plate. The two orthogonally polarised output wavelengths may be retrieved individually by means of a second Brewster plate. Interbranch and intrabranch operation within the 00 degrees 1-10 degrees 0 vibrational transition are discussed.
