Abstract
Features of the MEL laser cutting system from Mitsubishi are outlined. This is a single-layer cutting system which, with the incorporation of a spreader interfaced with the laser cutter, ensures batch production of high-quality apparel. The standard machine uses a 500 carbon-dioxide laser. The cutting speed is 70m/min.
