Abstract

The present Volume is number 6 in the 2nd Edition of Comprehensive Supramolecular Chemistry, a major reference work with Jerry Atwood acting as editor in chief. The main focus of this Volume is the engineering of discrete supramolecular assemblies that are either organic or metal-organic in nature. A number of prominent building blocks / supramolecular system types are covered, as are analytical techniques that are becoming increasingly important in the study of supramolecular chemistry.
