Abstract

Nowadays, food industries’ manufacturing and distribution have been experiencing the toughest competition among the other competitors to survive in the global market. The chain of restaurants had been established in the last decades and grown to an enormous amount that makes a larger threat to small and upgrading firms. Supply chain management plays a major role in the sustainability and productivity of emerging small organizations. This kind of small organization has to concentrate more on the transmission and distribution department, which most the firms lack. The transmission and distribution (T&D) department act as a backbone for any organization to develop its sustainability in the long run. The T&D of the trucks and trailers used for shipping has been considerably increased from around 10% to 20%, and the waste management has been increased to 12% in a year. To reduce the issues in the prevailing IoT scenario, biosensors and intelligent IoT modules have been proposed in this chapter. This proposed idea has been expected to be more submissive to the current scenario in the supply chain management wing. It is essential to take measures to issue perfect rewards and punishment strategies to reduce the food chain and also improve the quality of the entire process.
