Abstract
The performance of injection-locked single-mode TEA CO//2 laser systems has been investigated with respect to polarization and intrapulse frequency sweeping. It has been demonstrated how these two particular aspects in turn affect the mode selection process with the consequent appearance of several interesting and unexpected properties, certain of which have a direct bearing on the construction and operation of practical systems.
