Influence of gibberellic acid (GA3) on the development of amylolytic activities in rice during germination

    Abstract

    Laboratory studies indicate that while rice grains develop both a and ß-amylase activities on germination, these activities are lower than those present in germinating barley. Gibberellic acid enhanced the amylolytic activity of rice endosperm. © 1992.
