Abstract

The voltage-current, power-voltage and power-current definitions of impedance in ridge waveguides are graphically summarized for single ridge and double ridge structures. Propagation, power flow and impedance are also discussed. The normalized capacitance of the single ridge waveguide is confirmed to be twice that of the double ridge. The normalized susceptance's given equations are used in evaluating the voltage-current definition of impedance in a single ridge and double ridge waveguides while the power voltage definition of impedance starts with a definition of power flow in the waveguide at finite frequency.
