    Abstract

The objective of this paper is to demonstrate how an increase in house insulation affects the consumption of fuel through the use of demand and supply functions for house heat levels. The model is subjected to empirical estimation, and the results are used to demonstrate how the rate of return on investment on insulation can be derived.
