Abstract

A compact hybrid stable-unstable Tm:LLF thin-slab laser is demonstrated utilising toroidal mirrors, with estimated M2 of 1.6 and 3.3 in minor and major axes, and over 30 times greater brightness than an equivalent stable resonator
