Abstract

A continuous wave pumped version of a Nd:YAG active waveguide layer was analyzed using up to 400 W from a diode bar stack. The diode bars are positioned very close to the precision array of slots in the top pump mirror, to allow all of the radiation to be coupled into the pump chamber. With an optimized pump chamber and resonator, output powers of up to 100 to 150 W can be reached.
