Abstract

Both gas (CO₂, N₂O and propane) and solvent (CS ₂ and acetone) molecules can induce the transformation and expansion of the guest free thermodynamic form of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene to a 1:1 host:guest form. © 2008 American Chemical Society.
