Abstract

Both gas (CO2, N2O and propane) and solvent (CS 2 and acetone) molecules can induce the transformation and expansion of the guest free thermodynamic form of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene to a 1:1 host:guest form. © 2008 American Chemical Society.
