Abstract
Advancing sustainable steel-concrete composite structures requires shear connectors that facilitate rapid assembly and disassembly. This paper presents tests on two full-scale prefabricated demountable composite beams with partial shear connection, subjected to static and cyclic loading in three- and four-point bending configurations. Despite longitudinal grout cracking between slabs, the beams exhibited ductile flexural failure. Cyclic testing confirmed that structural integrity was maintained following disassembly and reassembly. The experimental load capacity and stiffness aligned closely with predictions from composite beam theory and Eurocode 4, validating the applicability of the code for demountable beams incorporating LockBolt Demountable Shear Connector.
