Flexible High Peak Power Beam Delivery: Practical Considerations

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

We present work carried out in collaboration between Heriot-Watt and Bath Universities developing hollow core anti-resonant fibers for flexible, high peak power beam delivery at the industrially relevant 1um wavelength. Practical considerations such as effect of bend losses, coupling tolerance, damage threshold, and non-linear limitations of the fibers have all been investigated and demonstrated to be compatible with processing in an industrial environment.
