Abstract

Reaction of [RhRu3(µ-H)2(µ-CO)(CO)9(?5-C5H5)] with (Ph2PCH2)3CMe in tetrahydofuran, at or below ambient temperature, causes extensive cleavage of the cluster and intramolecular elimination of a molecule of benzene to form structurally characterised [Ru3(µ-H){µ-Ph2PCH2(Ph2PCH2)2CMe}(CO)8], for which fluxionality of the µ2-ligand system is reported. © 1989.
